Stop Smoking Naturally (Continued)

How do I use the ear seeds? The ear seeds allow the client to stimulate acupuncture points themselves between treatments and they bring instant relief from cravings or stress. Three times daily the client squeezes each seed between their fingers ten times, while breathing in and out slowly. They can also be given a few additional squeezes at times of stress or when the temptation to smoke appears. The seeds are changed in each treatment session.

Note: It is important to note that if blood appears on the plaster or the ear is red and painful all the time to inform your acupuncturist, remove the ear seeds and apply an anti-septic ointment.

What Is Your Smoking Pattern?

Before you book your course of treatments it is advisable to consider your own smoking pattern. Make a list of usual times when you smoke i.e. first thing in the morning, on your coffee break, when socializing etc. These will be the more challenging areas for you initially. It is helpful to decide in advance how you are going to deal with them. Make an alternative plan, so when the situation arises you will be prepared.
